Service In the Community

Since 2015, ECPC has proudly housed the Craftsbury Saplings as a long-term tenant of the basement, providing vital childcare services to the surrounding community.

In the early 1990s, several members of ECPC spearheaded efforts with our community partners to build the Craftsbury Community Care Center, a retirement living facility across the street from our church that has become a beloved part of our community. We continue to be deeply passionate about volunteering and supporting the CCCC and their residents.

ECPC is also proud to have hosted the monthly Community Housing Forum since 2022, addressing the affordable housing shortage in the Northeast Kingdom, which eventually gave birth to the Headwaters Community Trust. ECPC has also been a proud member church of Northeast Kingdom Organizing since 2025.

We love to provide free space for hosting many other community events, including hosting events for the JW Simpson Library, grief support groups, concerts from the Porter Brook Trio, the Craftsbury Chamber Players, touring college Shakespeare troupes, author readings, documentary film screenings, and more.

Internationally, we have supported projects in East Africa (ECHO), Pakistan Education, Heifer International, and participate in our denomination’s One Great Hour of Sharing.
