East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church Music

Our Music Program
Music is an integral part of the ministry and mission of our congregation. East Craftsbury Church has a rich tradition of congregational singing, and many members naturally pick up a hymn book and sing different vocal parts. The result is what one member called “a stirring harmony that seems to resonate somewhere inside your chest, radiating thrills up the backs of neck and arms.”

Our organ was designed by Peter Walker of Brattleboro, Vermont and includes 11 ranks of pipes. There is a Syndyne control with MIDI capability, which allows an organist to record his or her stops and keystrokes which can then be played back through the organ, analogous to old-time player pianos.  This is a very handy feature when none of our organists are available for a service! The singing of the congregation fills the church each week and is much remarked upon by visitors!
